Objectives:

The goals and objectives of DYFC are:

  • To improve the health of the community by creating an awareness team that can educate the vulnerable people. In order to accomplish this goal, we need to have the necessary resources, such as a fitness room, blood pressure machines, brochures about the current outbreak, and other items.
  • To close the housing gap by assisting the community with the application process, researching the pros and cons of moving to a certain area, and finding resources from the county.
  • To encourage the youth at an early age by providing after school programs, Parental engagement policies and practices to meet student and family needs, and offering support whenever they need.
  • In order to prevent the youth from committing an offense, DUC will invite officers and community leaders in educating the youth how to stay out of trouble. The effect of committing a crime and how it can impact the rest of their lives.
  • To assist the community in applying for citizenship and naturalization processes. DUC will hold classes that gear towards those who may need interpreting services.
